Alesund ended up being the only norwegian stop with overcast grey skies during the entire cruise. On the other hand, the low hanging clouds and fog added to the almost “end-of-the-world” feeling of some of our viewpoints.
We rented a car and drove to the islands of Giske and Godoy, spending a good deal of time at the Alnes lighthouse… Not to be missed, specially in a dark and gloomy day. It may be even better during a fierce storm… And you cannot also miss the experience of the tunnels going underneath the deep fjords in which the cars go up and down at 9% inclines.
